Walk Down the Corridors of Time (Mum to Lulu, or “Laugh”)

This is one of those charmingly surreal uses of a classic b/w portrait with a new color one, and across generations. Really nicely done, in our opinion. We’re guessing from the file names that this is a mother-daughter combination. Thanks to wl_missnono for sending it in.

Dragonboy

Well, we’ve had aliens, tigers and anime angels; sooner or later we were bound to enter the mythic territory of dragon lore. Thanks to Morpheus user j.reynolds, we have. Don’t mess with this guy, he looks like a tough customer, and there’s more than meets the eye. Tough getting out of the phone booth though….

Sergi to Celine

Either he’s brave or his girlfriend sent it in, but thanks to Morpheus user musicmaniac313 (don’t you love how we refer to people by numbers nowadays; what would Orwell say?) for this nice gender-bending celebrity morph. Smooth!

Wazzup Talea, thanks for this classic photo montage morph with a distinctly alien twist. The truth is (still) out there!

Just a Pup

Thanks to Morpheus aficionado annandrige for this animation of “Abot’s baby at 5 wks 3 days” morphing into young Cameron by the lake. A couple of young pups with a family resemblance? We think so…

Guess who’s coming to halloween?

Well, Halloween may be over except for a smashing pumpkin or two, and Dia de los Muertos just rounding midnight, but we think this one could pass fine for any ghoulish holiday. Thanks for the trick and treat, yellek0711 – that’s kelly backwards we’re guessing, and she’s either lucky, born under the sign of Cancer or works at 7/11 – or possibly all of the above…

Cute and Cuter

A girl with a beautific smile turning into a cuddly kitten is a true recipe for a feel-good morph. What makes this one special is the close attention paid to the position of the eyes, nose and mouth in the two original photos. Nice one from Morpheus user mikebell!

Self Portrait as a Young Artist

He’s got the sideburns, the French beret, the buttoned up shirt AND the drawing skills. We’re just wondering if those are books or DVDs. Whatever they are, they dissolve away in the simpler world of the drawn character. We also like how the lines on the shirt collar morph perfectly into the drawing. Nice work.

Queen of the Jungle

Helene sent this one. Fantastic grasp of timing and setup – the facial features are smoothly transitioned and the pace is nice. Care put into choosing the right photos and then plotting the transform points can really make a so-so animation into something remarkable. Way to go, Helene!

Best Friend’s Boy

We like this one for its upbeat emotion. It’s alive and preserves the happy expression of this emotion in both beast and boy, from beginning to end. We also like to see users take advantage of the backwards morph, so we can see the reverse morph as part of the animation.

Ratdog

No, it’s not the less-than-thrilling band that Bob Weir formed after the demise of the Grateful Dead, alas, but rather a rat smoothly transitioning into a chihuahua, submitted by Morpheus user revilohm. Stay tuned, we have a bunch more user animations in the queue!
